A Benefit Gala Event to support Special Olympics Wyoming

Description of Event: Festival of Trees – Our 19th annual event is an auction of fully
decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces, trips and items donated by individuals
or local businesses, to be purchased by the public. The Christmas trees are live auctioned
on Tuesday, November 27th. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with a silent auction and
cocktails. The live auction will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Goal: To raise much needed funds and awareness for Special Olympics Wyoming
programs statewide while educating an audience of more than 600 guests about the
mission of Special Olympics Wyoming.
Tickets: $30.00 per person or two for $50.00.
Sponsorship: Sponsorships for this event range from decorating a Christmas tree up
to a $10,000 premier sponsorship. Trees are purchased and decorated by a company,
organization or individual. Trees will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Location: Boys & Girls Club of Central Wyoming • 1701 K Street • Casper
Format: Guests arrive and are greeted by Special Olympics Athletes and register for an
evening of entertainment, holiday buffets, strolling among dozens of decorated trees and
selection of auction items.

Sponsors: First Interstate Bank and numerous other corporate sponsors will kick start
the event. Our hope is that all expenses associated with the event will have been covered
through “sponsorship donations” made in advance.

Teddy Bear Tea
Date of Event: November 30th 2008
Description of Event: An afternoon to bring children together to visit with Mr. and Mrs.
Claus; bring a new Teddy Bear for our traditional “Teddy Bear” tree; enjoy strolling among
the decorated auction trees; sip hot cider and eat warm cookies; and most of all, voting for
your favorite tree. Local school choruses and entertainers will fill the afternoon for every
member of your family or friends.
Goal: To raise awareness for Special Olympics Wyoming programs statewide, promote
the Festival of Trees and determine the People Choice award.
Tickets: Teddy Bear donation.
