volunteer opportunities

throughout the year!


Day of Event Volunteers: Volunteer for area and/or state competitions on the day of the event. Examples of volunteer roles include timing, athlete check-in, recording results, assisting with awards, making announcements, selling souvenirs, helping with food service and staging of events.

Games Organizing Committee: Become a member of a team responsible for the organization and implementation of a Special Olympics competition at the area or state level.  

Officiating: Work as an official or referee at competitions.

Unified Sports® Partner: Train and compete as a teammate with Special Olympics athletes year round.

October           Area Bowling Tournament - Green River

                        Area Fall Tournament - Riverton
                        State Fall Tournament - Casper                                                                 

Fundraising: Assist with planning and conducting local and state fundraising events.

April-May         Tip-a-Cop - Cheyenne, Casper, Wheatland

June                Cops ‘n Jocks - Sheridan, Cheyenne and Casper

September      World’s Largest Truck Convoy - Cheyenne

October           Indian Taco Feed - Douglas

Nov-Dec          Teddy Bear Tea- Casper
                        Festival of Trees - Casper and Sheridan

Administrative Support:  Year round help is appreciated with filing, general office work, inventory etc.
