World Games

2021 SwedenThe Special Olympics World Games is one of the largest sporting events on the planet, and inspires, promotes and advances a world of full inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities. Taking place every two years and alternating between Summer and Winter Games, the World Games are broadcast globally in more than 150 countries attracting more than 2,500 journalists.

The 2021 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Sweden are expected to host 2,000 athletes and Unified Sports Partners from 105 nations who will participate in nine various sport disciplines. Unified Sports is an inclusive sports program that combines an equal number of individuals with intellectual disabilities and individuals without intellectual disabilities. They will be joined by more than 3,000 volunteers as well as 5,000 family members.

 

2023 Special Olympics World Summer Games

The 2023 Berlin World Games are expected to host around 7,000 athletes and Unified Partners from 170 nations who will participate in 25 various sport disciplines. They will be joined by more than 3,000 volunteers as well as 12,000 family members.

Special Olympics USA Games

Globe RedOrlando will host the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games. Taking place June 5-10, 2022, the Special Olympics USA Games will bring together more than 4,000 elite athletes, 10,000 volunteers, 1,500 coaches and 75,000 fans from all 50 states and the District of Columbia to participate in one of the world’s most cherished sporting events.

Special Olympics Wyoming is currently seeking groups of volunteers to assist with the 2019 Fall Torunament. There are diffent opportunities for all 3 days of compettion. Groups are encourage to sign up as well as individuals.
